Growing up in "To kill a Mockingbird"

In the book To Kill a Mockingbird it's a book about a girl name Scott and her coming of age moment. In the book To Kill a Mockingbird Scott's coming of age moment I guess would be when Tom (a black man her father has to defend in a case) is sent to jail for a crime he does not commit. And I guess this can speak to the coming of age experience because it's like in life racism over rules the right the thing. And so this can be Scott's coming of age moment because she releases that in life the hatred towards a persons race will sometimes over rule the right thing to do. I guess an other coming of age moment is when Scott finally meets Boo Radley and through out her life she's heard so many bad things about him. Like he cut (or stabbed) his father with a scissors, or that he eats cats for a living and things like that. so when Scott and Jem are in trouble he actually steps in and helps them. And this can relate to coming of age because it can be like if you meet a person you would think differently than hear a rumor about them and automatically make a judgment of them in your mind.

I guess what the author is trying to say when your a child you think the worlds to you. I guess you have a sense of innocents of what's going around you than when your an adult. And you get to be free and wild when your younger. And then when you become an adult you start to realize the things around you, like in Scott's case she really didn't understand why everyone hated black people. And then when her father started to pick up this case she started to realize that racism is a very big thing in her town. Also when she started to grow up she started to wear skirt and dress. And in the book people judge the way her father razed her saying that it wasn't right to let her run around in overalls, and in one of the quotes it says that it's one thing to have her and her brother running around like wild dogs but another that he's a black lover. And I guess she realized that people judge her for what she was wearing and this can say that in life people judge you for what you wear.

I guess what Lee Harper is trying to say about growing up is that you start to realize the things you didn't notice when you were younger. Like people aren't who you think they are. This can relate to growing up because you can hear something about this person and it can be the total opposite of what the person really is. And this works in the book because she hears so much gossip about Boo and she thinks he's a monster but in life he's just a regular person (who doesn't leave his house but you get the point). And then also that in life it isn't fair. Like you can see that in life people would go with their hatred towards a person than to what's the right thing.

And I think that this book shows us that you should stand up for what you think is right. Even if people shun you and they hate you and say terrible things to you. It's the right thing to do the right thing. In the book Atticus stands up for the right thing even if he is shunned in the town and he doesn't care because it's the right thing to do. And in the book it is told that there are a lot of people who do agree with Atticus but are to afraid to say this. And this can be related in life because people do stand up for whats right (most of the time) for what's right. And that the book title does have something to do without he tittle because in the book it's wrong to kill a mockingbird because they do nothing wrong to us. And it I think it does relate to Tom because he was innocent and he did nothing wrong so they killed a mockingbird or Tom because he was killed.  

HOW BOOKS CONNECT

So in class we had to discuss our books and see how they all connect. Well it was easy for 3 of our books because we were all reading the same books, but it wasn't that much easy for Atifa's book (which I can't remember the title to it). So basically in Atifa's book there's this girl and her father sends her way because he doesn't like her. And then another character in the book wants to be friends with this other character except their parent don't want them to be friends because they have different religions, one's Muslim and the other's Jewish. And the book Adam, Wei, and me are reading is To Kill a Mockingbird and in this book the main character Scott lives in a small town call Maycomb Alabama. And her dad is a lawyer and is defending a black man Tom Robinson (and every one is racist) of a crime, and everyone is discriminating against Tom.


So we saw that these 2 books connect because they both deal with discrimination. Whether it's discrimination of race or religion. In Atifa's book the main character deals with discrimination because he is Muslim and the parents of his friend doesn't want them to be friends anymore because they both have different religions. And in the book To Kill a Mockingbird Tom deals with discrimination because he's black and everybody's racist so they atomically think that Tom is guilty. That he committed the crime simply because of his race. And we decided that when growing up you deal with a lot of discrimination because of who you are make us who we are.


So in these 2 books they show us that when you grow up you can be discriminated for who you are and that things like these can make us who we are. In To Kill a Mockingbird Scott (and I guess you can say the people in Maycomb) I guess you can say becomes a better person. She learns that people shouldn't be pronounced guilty simply because of their race that you should hear their side of the story in order to pronounce guilty or not guilty. And even if they did hear Tom's side of the story and even if the evidence was clearly proven that he was not guilty. They still put him in jail (so the people of Maycomb are still racist) and Scott learned that this is what life is and that in life discrimination can over come the power of innocents.  

MAUS I

So I've finished reading Maus I like a while ago but I'm posting about it today. So Maus I is about a survivor telling his story, well its the survivors son who's writing the story. Anyway the book is about a man named Vladek and his son Artie is writing about his fathers life in Auschwitz. So that's basically what this book is about. And this book is written as a graph novel. I thought this was really interesting because most historical books are usually in a book format or you know what I mean. And art Spiegelman wrote this as a graphic novel. What I thought was also interesting was that instead of using humans as characters he used animal to represent people. Like the Germans as cats and Jews as mice.

I thought this was interesting because you know cats chase mice. And no one likes mice, I mean if you see a mouse in your house you'd probably kill it. So I guess it's showing that back then people thought of Jews that way. Or that the Jews were weak and were helpless and the Germans had power. But I think another reason Spiegelman used animals to represent humans was because people were treated like animals? I guess that race was all they saw in you, i mean all the jews were mice and they all looked alike because they all were drawn the same way and had the same pair of clothes on. So during the holocaust I guess you were only seen as your race and nothing else.

What I also liked about this book was that some of the pictures in this book. I mean the pictures aren't like there so amazing I can cry! There simple and they don't use color, all the pictures are drawn in black and white. And there are some pictures that I guess make you think. Like this one picture where there's Vladek and Anja both walking and trying to survive and the path they're walking is in the shape of a swastika and I guess this is really interesting because they're trying to rum away from danger and they can't because I guess everywhere they walk they can be in danger. So I guess he drew this as fear of his parents as they walked because they were in constant fear. Anyway I think this is a really good book and   everyone should read and that's it.

SLAM!!!!!!!!

So I just started this book yesterday and I'm only on page 61 so I'm not that far in the book. But this book is about a boy named Sam (we don't find out about his name until like 20 pages later ) and it's basically about his life. And the events leading to how he screwed up his life. It's pretty interesting. So sam has a mother who is a single mother and had  a teenage pregnancy so she's always putting pressure on him that he doesn't make the same mistake. And she wants Sam to go to collage and have a great job because everyone else inter family screwed up and didn't go to school because they thought they were going to be multi millionaires so he does get pressured into going into collage and having a good job. And Alice is sam's girlfriend and they've only been together for like I don't know a day and I guess their in love with each other.

So I guess Sam is having problems with his mom. Well they are having relationship problems. His mom is worried that same is going to make the same mistake as she did when she was his age. But Sam keep's pushing her away so she's worried that seeing Alice might be making him do the wrong choices. And that Alice might be the one making him do the wrong thing. Which I totally agree with Sam's mom because they haven't went on their first date and it was Alice's idea to have sex.

SO this book has to deal with child and parent relationships. And we can push our parents away because we think they'r not helping and we can feel old enough to make our own decisions but in reality they're actually trying to help us. Like in this book Sam's mother is trying to help him so he doesn't become a father at the age of 17. But sam thinks his mom is over reacting and he doesn't feel like this is going to happen. And I know sometimes my parents are trying to help me but I always push them away.

ROMEO AND JULIET "WATER"

So we finished watching Romeo and Juliet like a week ago. And everybody knows the story but I have to give a quick introduction. So there's this boy named Romeo and there's this girl named Juliet and there families hate each other to death (literally they really want to murder each other also some people die) and they meet each other at a party. And they were all like "I love you!!!!" so they can't be in love because of their families hatred toward each other. So they decided to fake each others death. So Juliet pretends to kill herself. And then Romeo kills himself because he thinks she's dead but she isn't. And Juliet wakes up and he's died so Juliet kills herself because she can't live with out her love. THE END!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway so in this book it has to do a lot with symbols and stuff like that. So you can say that water has been with them for a very long time. I mean I guess it's like water has been with them when they first met and death. So Romeo and juliet first meet at a party but the thing that separates them is water. They could have went over and talked to each other except water was blocking them. And at one point water joins them. There in pool and they were kissing and at the end water breaks them apart because Romeo kills Tyblat and this cause Romeo and Juliet to never be together because Romeo is banished. So water has been with them when they first meet and when they died.

so you could say that their like water? Still coming up with a theory. You could say that water played a big important role in this movie. Because they meet at the fish tank and water was separating them. And then they were together in the water. And then water is what ended their lives. So all in all I'm excited for this unit. And this was a really good movie.

BEAUTY POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! I THINK................
So I just read a book called "Beauty Pop" and so basically its about this girl Kiri who is like a genus when it comes to hair cutting. She can pickup a scissor and make everyone beautiful. But she doesn't wan't to cut hair. But in the school there's this group called the Scissor Project where these 3 boys give makeovers only on pretty girls. So all the other girls who aren't "pretty" enough they don't make the cut and are left to beg. But Kiri does makeovers on the girls who were left to beg and helps them but leaves her name anonymous. And the Scissor Project is rally mad at Kiri (but don't know she's the one) because they think she's stealing the spot light.  

So this book is really awesome. I think the book isn't only about cutting hair and being the best in Japan. It's about you know true beauty and stuff like that. I mean the reason Kiri decides to do a make over on Kanako was because the boys in the scissor project were really mean to her and being such jerk. And I guess this book shows us that you know anyone can be beautiful. Because they believe that Kanako and some other girl int he book later on can't be beautiful. So they reject them.

But what message is this sending to us. I mean sure there's nice pictures and the story line is really nice and unique. But like you have to be pretty and get a total makeover to get the boy of your dreams. But then again Kanako ended up changing her makeover back to how she looked like and decided she didn't want to change her image for a boy. So this book was really good and did teach me you don't have to change you're image for a boy.    

ART WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So for this art work I picked Boy With Bubble. I really wanted to choose the one with the babies sitting around a table but the image wouldn't enlarge and I couldn't see much of the image. So this was the next beast thing. I've chosen this one because I just like the picture it's self. There's this kid with a cigarette in his mouth and he's playing with a bubble. And I really thought that this was interesting because he DOES NOT look of smoking age (actually there shouldn't be an age of smoking) and in the background there's this other little boy. And when I see this image I think of this kids youth and I guess how he's losing it.

So first of SMOKING KILLS!!!!!! And this little kid is smoking and he's so young. And he's killing himself. So he's losing his youth by smoking and killing himself and not having clean lungs so he could do fun kid stuff. He's also seem's to be much matured then his age. He's wearing this sliver ring, a button down shirt and he has a cigarette in his mouth. While the kid in the background is just wearing a simple plain t-shirt and some pants. But he's face is covered with paint. Unlike the kid with the cigarette who's face isn't and is clean.

So I really liked this image because of the message it is saying. How in some places children are losing their youth. Where its from wanting to grow up too soon. Or like in places were children are forced to fight in a war. I guess I really like this image because it's really sidle. There's just this little boy with a cigarette in his mouth playing with a bubble and an other little boy standing in the background. And I guess most people won't realize it that this little boy letting go of his youth (THE BUBBLE!!!!!) and trying to group up (THE CIGARETTE!!!!!) to soon.

My nomination would go to JOANNA. i think this because Joanna's blog post are so thought provoking. I mean her post are exactly what the requirements are for posting a post. And she extends her paragraphs with thought full ideas. She also connects her books to real life. And I just think it should go to Joanna because her post make me think about certain books in a different way.       

ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS A GOOD BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I just finished reading this book over the weekend. And it was really good. So basically it starts with a girl on a ship and she doesn't know why she's here or the events leading up to her arrival on the ship. She later finds out that she was killed in a hit and run and this boat is taking her to elsewhere. Which is a place where all the dead go and they age backwards until there 7 days old and are sent back to earth to live life again. It's a really interesting book the main character Liz is in denial when she finds out she's was killed, and if you died at a young age you have the opportunity to go back to earth and live life all over again. And Liz thinks because she was killed early there's no point in living life. But she finds out later that even if she might be getting younger as time passes her life is still worth living.

In this book all Lizzy wants more than anything is to grow up. So that's why she decides it would be better just for her to go back to earth and live life all over again. But instead of going down the river leading into earth and be re-born she decided it would be better just to live the life she has now. Because when she goes back to earth she will no longer be Lizzy, she'd be someone else. And she after thinking this through she decides not to go to earth and stay as Liz. And she also realizes when she goes back to earth she won't remember her old family, or be a part of them anymore.

I think this book has to do with growing up. Everyone wants to grow up and be able to do stuff that we can't do because were to young. And we forget about our youth and how important it is to us. Lizzy is mortified with the idea of aging backwards. All she wants to do is grow up. Do all the adult things in life. And now because she's aging backwards she'll stay a kid forever. And that's the reason Lizzy wants to leave elsewhere. Because she wan'ts to grow up and not stay a kid. but Lizzy then realizes that she is technically growing up. she isn't growing up physically but she realizes that in her life she has done some amazing things and life isn't how long you live. It's how you spend it.               

THE LOVELY BONES!!!!!!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SUCH A GOOD BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I recently just finished reading the Lovely Bones. It's such a good book!!!!!! No, people always say that the book is better than the movie in some cases yes. But the movie was really good and book was even BETTER!!!!!! Ok so everyone knows its about this girl who abducted and raped and then killed and no one ever finds out who the killer is and he ends up getting away with it. But the book has so many good parts in it. In the beginning of the book she is killed. So the rest of the book is just her up in I guess in heaven, and watches over everyone she loves, and talks about her life in heaven and life before. But its really good.

So in this book it deals a lot with relationships. It could be from family relationship to boyfriend girlfriend relationship. So in family ways her farther is the one who is stricken with it the most. I mean everybody pretty sad but he's just a ship wreck. So because of this sad event he ends up losing his family. And he loved her so much that he knew who her killer was the day he talked with him (its Mr. Harvey) and he just knew form the start that he was the man who killed him. And relationship because of this Suisse's mom ends up leaving her family for 7 years because her husband wouldn't move on with his life, he was stuck in this one event. And she ended up committing adultery with the detective who was on Suisse's case.

And this book is manly about relationships. And it showed me that relationships were really important. That one person can affect anthers person life in a simple or a really big way positive or negative. How the death of Suisse caused her farther to go into a man stuck in time. And her mother to commit adultery. But her death also caused her younger sister to become a beautiful young adult. Or her brother who even is 12 years old he is still that 4 year old heart broken. Or Ruth who when Suisse's soul left her body the day she was killed passed by Ruth. And Ruth was changed forever since.  

MRS.PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN

THERE MAY BE SPOILERS SO SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I finished this book over the vacation, and it was okay. I mean there were pretty picture (more like black and white photos of the past which was a pretty cool affect) and the story line was original. But I wasn't a big fan of the ending. The book starts with a boy named Jacob, and when he was younger his grand-father told him story's about his childhood. Where he became an orphan and went to live in this island where kids with magical powers lived. And it turns out he lived during world war 2, so him being an orphan was true but the stories were fake but he couldn't solve the pictures. Then he's 16 and his grand-father dies and the monsters killed him but no one can see the monsters and he's crazy. And he goes off to the island and finds out the children are real and the monsters try to kill him. But they beat the bad guys and live happily ever after! YAY! Oh and his power is to see the monsters so... yeah.

I didn't really like the ending it was so happy, the children aren't killed by the monsters and he lives with them. But I guess this book is about family and stuff. How I guess you should believe what your family is saying, or most of it. Because of Jacob just believed his grand dad he'd still be alive. But then his parents wouldn't believe him and he was sent to a shrink because he was "crazy". But he wasn't he was just telling the truth but no one believed in him.


And even if family can be crazy at times you should believe them because they might be telling the truth. And not only with family its with friends. Because his friend thought he was crazy so he stopped hanging out with him and they stopped being friends. Or that your family might not always be the people who gave birth to you. Jacob had a special power and his father didn't because it skipped a generation. Jacob and his grand-father were able to see the monsters. And he couldn't connect with his family because they weren't peculiar. So when he found the house for peculiar children it was better if just stayed with them because they were his new family because they were like related and Jacob ending up living happily ever after with his new family.

Melinda won't speak. Melinda won't do her homework or go to class. Melinda has no friends she is an outcast. And its all because of IT. Who's IT you may ask? IT is the most terrible person  on earth, and what he did was unforgivable. He didn't break her heart if anyone's wondering. He tore it out of her chest, still pumping in his hands. Because IT or Andy Evans raped Melinda. What is rape? Melinda didn't believe she was. She was drunk and he just covered her mouth, so it was her fault. And no matter what she can't speak because the monster inside her is eating her from the inside out. Melinda won't speak because she's scarred, and no one will listen to her. And whats the point whats done is done, you can't change the past.

Everybody has secrets, and this book is about secrets. Some are worth keeping others can hurt you. They can eat you from the inside out. And those secrets aren't worth keeping, because before you know it that secret will own you, and no matter how hard you try you can't escape it. Melinda is keeping a secret that's to hard to keep and its eating her from the inside out. And she can't keep her mouth shut anymore. It is  hard a traumatic thing to go through. And most people would say she's being stupid for not telling anybody. But the thing is Melinda is scarred and she believes it's her fault, that this happened.


When we grow older, we tend to keep more secrets from our parents. And although secrets are great things to have, some aren't. I'm not saying tell all your secrets to the world, you don't have to if you want to. If there something which we know are wrong, or we don't but feel like it. We should tell someone, because then that secret will keep on bothering you. Speak is about a girl who doesn't want speak because if she does she afraid she might be judged. She is silent like her last name Sordino. She won't speak because she is scarred, and we learn not to speak the secrets that bother us.      

PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S AN O.K. BOOK!!!!!!!!! BUT DON'T ONLY REALLY ON THIS!!!!
This book is about a party. That's why it's called party. So this party is suppose to be the biggest party of the year, and this book isn't just for one person perspective. It's from several teens perspective , and each story intersects with each other. Except I'm only on page 54, so I've only gotten to 3 people. But so far Beckett is a girl who let her life slip because her mother died and she hasn't told anyone. Morrigan is a girl who's heart broken because her boyfriend wouldn't do the deed with her. Tommy is the friend of Josh who used to be boyfriends with morrigan.
This book is about people who want to be noticed. Or deal with life, you know stuff a typical teenager goes through. And Beckett i s just a girl who doesn't know what to do because her mother died and she didn't tell anyone. And no one notice it because she is just that girl in the background who you don't know who she is. And Tommy is just a boy who'd heart broken, because his ex-girlfriend just broke his heart.
And this book is about what an average teenager goes through. And there challenges in life. And ya-da-ya-da-yad , this book is really boring. I guess this book is suppose to be what an average teenager should be worrying about. And all tis book is worrying about status. That's all everybody worrying about. And that's why this book is so boring.

13 Reasons Why

SPOILERS!!!!!!!! GREAT BOOK YOU SHOULD READ IT NOT MY BLOG POST
So basically this book starts out with a boy names Clay and his crush Hannah who committed suicide like a week ago. So he got a map, and then a week after Hannah's suicided he gets a package and its from anonymous. And so for the whole night he learns the truth about why Hannah killed herself. And there's 13 people why she did it, and clay is one of them. And she wasn't bullied, well I guess she was. But this book isn't one of those books where the character is different and there made fun of that and so the character decides to kill themselves. She was bullied, and that was because of rumors started,  that she took her shirt of for Justin. And for having one of the best ass in the whole school, and although this rumors won't true they gave boys a reason to harass her.  
And so this book is like real life we are responsible for our own actions. And the actions of people can affect other people. So because of these stupid rumors they can hurt someone. And it's not only rumors, your actions can hurt someone. Like in this book Jenny knocks down a stop sign and refuse to call the police, and because of this a car accident happens. And even the smallest thing might not seem to important, it can affect someone in a great of harmful way. And this accident caused a bad reaction to happen.
And this book says your responsible for your own action, and you shouldn't just sweep it under the carpet. You should fix what you created. You are responsible for what you created. You shouldn't have other people fix it, your the one who created it and should fix it. And this is what this book is mainly about. if people didn't sweep things under the carpet things like this wouldn't happen. A girl wouldn't have been raped, she wouldn't have been raped, if Mr.Porter didn't ignore what Hannah said she wouldn't be died. You are responsible for your actions so fix it before you get someone else hurt.

The True Meaning of Smeakday

(Do not read if you want to read this book!!!!!!!!!!!!)
So The True Meaning of Smeakday is a book by Adam Rex is just a funny, original, and absorbing book. So its basically about a girl named Gratuity, her cat named Pig, and a Boov named J.Lo. And earth is being taken over by an alien species called Boov. So all humans are suppose to live in 1 state of the U.S, and well during her journey she meets a Boov named J.lo, and they try to save the world. So they have to save the world from a more evil, powerful force of aliens.
And Gratuity is just a hard headed girl. I mean after her mother was taken by the Boov, she hated them ever seance. And well who wouldn't hate someone who took their mother and liked ruined their parents life before she was abducted. And before her mother was abducted they would argue everyday. The thing is they put a mole on her and well the mole was growing and turning purple. So Gratuity wanted it to get it checked out, but her mom didn't.
And the reason why she hates the Boov so mush is because her mom was taken from her. And she would do anything to get her mom back. And I guess its like when you love someone you would do anything to get them back. Even if it means working with you arch enemy. And even if you do fight, if you love that person and tire your hardest to get them back.

THIS IS MY FOURTH BLOG POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I just finished the book Sleepless by Thomas Fay. And its basically like Freddy Krueger, you know you fall asleep and then you die. Except in Sleepless you fall asleep and someone dies, and you see how their murdered, in a real gruesome way. How something is making them kill each other in their sleep, and friends come together so they won't sleep and no one has to die. This book was ok. I mean the cover screams "READ ME!!!!" But the characters didn't have much depth, and the ending was terrible. But you just have to read the book, and see it for yourself.
So this book was I guess mostly about love. You know the cheesy saying love can with stand through anything. I mean even if it wasn't relationship love it was with family. So Emma and Jake were in love. And even if they were warned Jake was going to kill Emma they still were together. And then there's Catlin and Dr. Beecher, and she loved him so much she would do anything to have him live in the perfect world. Or how Calliope loved her doughtier Abigail she would do anything to get revenge.
So what would people do just to please the people they love? I mean would they kill people just to please their lover. Or they would kill to avenge their lovers death. Or would people love even if they are putting their lives or other people lives in danger.

THIRD POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO READ/HAVEN'T FINISH THE HUNGER GAMES SERIS)
So I just finished reading MockingJay by Suzanne Collins. And it was great, I mean even for a sequel it was pretty good. So basically Mocking Jay was mostly about rebellion and how Katniss trying to rebel against the capitol. And how she would have to become the mocking jay, and how she deals with this. And it turns out district 13 is still alive, and how she joins them in rebellion.
And this always reminds me the uprise in Libya or how there's just uprise in this country or world. How people are trying to be free or dictators and there evil forces. And how Katniss was the sign of rebellion, she was the mocking jay. The girl who put a twist on the Hunger Games. And how she didn't want people to have to contribute their children in this game where everyone cheers while children kill each other.
 And how she didn't want to be apart of the capital games. And how Snow (the president) is like controlling the hunger games. And with so much uprise she tries her best to be the mocking jay. I mean to me it would be a difficult task. And how Snow uses the people she loves against her, and how one of the characters in the book Johanna is always saying how no one can hurt her because everyone she loves is died.        

MY SECOND BLOG POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I just recently finished Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and forget what I said in my first blog post this book was just as great as the first. So I would tell you what has happened but I don't want to spoil anything. So Katniss wants to rebel against the capital but people aren't so sure. And Katniss really wants uprise in her districts so they could protest against the Hunger Games well uprise in all the districts so they all should united as one. And since her experienced during the Hunger Games she didn't want anyone else to have to compete in these barbaric games.
So in the ending of book 1 she and Peeta do something that cause uprise. How there loved shouldn't be broken and  how this cause the capital to hate Katniss because there's only suppose to be one winner in the hunger games. And how her token a small mockingly pin it's not just a fashion statement anymore it's the symbol for revolution. And how the capitol is scared about this because there afraid of what might happened and what happened in district 13.
And after watching the news and the uprise in Libya. How rebellion is happing through out this planet. How people who under control of a dictator for about 40 years (about) finally are freed. And that this book deals with rebellion. And how people rebelled against other people. How Katniss rebelled against the capital by hunting even if she was caught she could be killed and doing that vary bad thing in the end of the Hunger Games.  

FIRST POST EVER!!!!!!!!

Catching Fire is the book I'm reading now and It's not one of the greets book I'm I've read. Catching Fire is the sequel to the Hinger Games, and I think It's just not as great as the first book. So far in this book, I just feel its a love book, where Katniss can't decided wither to run off with Gabe or marry Peeta to save her family and Gabe's too. And it's just "Oh Gabe, I love you" and then its "Peeta to save our community we have too get married". And that's what's going on in my book, I just think that I like book one because there was more action, and it wasn't a love book, well near the end.

I feel bad for Peeta. It's so sad, how he actually likes Katniss, but Katniss doesn't and the only reason she did fall in love with him was too save their butts. It's so sad how she just blows him off in the ending of the book. And how she just blew him off until they have to tour every district, and how she pretended everything was all right. Why are people so mean?

But what if I were in Katniss shoes, wether I could choices between the love of my life or some kid and safeness of my family. That they wouldn't be hurt. and how she choices her family over Gabe. and I feel bad for Gabe, because he loves Katniss, more than she knows it, and how she doesn't realize it until he kiss her. What would I do? I would go with the flow, and marry Peeta to have my family safe.
